Fighting Temptation with Truth

When Jesus faced Satan in the wilderness after 40 days of fasting, He didn't call down angels or use divine power. He fought with something we ALL have access to: God's Word. 

This Sunday we kicked off "Fighting Temptation with Truth" - a powerful reminder that Scripture is our weapon. Jesus quoted Deuteronomy 8:3: "Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." The enemy prowls around looking for whom he can devour, but we have authority through Christ's name and the sword of the Spirit.

You don't have to fight life's battles alone. Use His Word. Pray in His name. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in YOU through the Holy Spirit. Stop fighting in your own strength and pick up the weapon God has given you.
