Confirmed Identity

Palm Sunday's message invites us to witness a prophetically significant moment in Scripture - Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem. What makes this account so extraordinary is how every detail confirms Christ's identity as the promised Messiah. From His approach from the Mount of Olives to His choice to ride a humble donkey rather than a war horse, each element fulfills ancient prophecies spoken hundreds of years before His birth. The people spread their cloaks and palm branches, shouting 'Hosanna' - save us - unknowingly participating in the fulfillment of Zechariah's words about their King coming gentle and riding on a donkey. He openly accepts their worship and even tells the Pharisees that if the people stopped praising Him, the rocks themselves would cry out. This message challenges us to examine our own identity - are we finding it in Christ alone? Just as those followers laid down their cloaks, symbols of their personal identity, at Jesus' feet, we're called to surrender our self-defined identities and find who we truly are in Him. The narrow road isn't easy, but we have the perfect example of grace, mercy, and obedience to follow.
